Comedy is the theme of Wells-next-the-Sea’s first film festival – a week-end of laughter and wit, from a double silent bill, via Hollywood’s Golden Age, classic Ealing comedy, the ever popular Marx brothers and two recent releases from USA & France plus two renowned presenters: Kevin Brownlow (Oscar winner 2011) and Jo Statham on silent and European comedy.

Festival Club

There will be a Festival Club operating next door to the Granary Theatre in the Maltings Room.

It will provide teas/coffees & soft drinks, snacks, a ticket desk, information on the films being shown, classic film posters* and other film memorabilia. There will be a DVD running with clips of all the Festival Films. As the Festival w/e falls within Fairtrade Fortnight the  drinks will be supplied by the Wells  Fair Trade Group who will also display Fair Trade items for purchase.
